• Summers 2009 - 2015 - Seasonal Lifeguard, Junior Guard and Instructor for Chicago Park District

  • Leadership position that involved keeping patrons safe while swimming. Ability to make quick, smart executive decisions in emergency and non-emergency situations. I work well in large groups under stressful conditions, as well as being an effective and calm communicator with patrons and co-workers.

  • Junior Lifeguard Counselor - Camp counselor position involved overseeing and creating activities for a group of 150 campers aged 8-15. Taught valuable lifeguarding skills such as CPR and first aid responder techniques as well as water rescue methods. Ability to communicate easily with campers, other counselors and parents to establish a safe and fun atmosphere during camp.

  • Assisted students and faculty in printing out artwork, , requiring knowledge of inkjet printing and printer maintenance. Designed informational posters and promotional material for NIU school of art and design
